Yes, I know that the Olive Garden and the Olive Garden in Sebring Florida are part of a nationwide chain of family restaurants.
And yes, I do know, that at one time, there were Olive Garden restaurants north of the border in Canada, though I don’t believe they have any there any more.
So, visitors to Sebring, particularly the younger crowd, may not know what fare is served here, though their name certainly suggests a theme, yes?
This is a photo from the Olive Garden website showing the actual front of the Olive Garden Sebring restaurant. If you’ve ever been to one of their restaurants before, you’ll recognize the appearance, I’m sure.
The Olive Garden restaurant boasts an Italian theme, and the food reflects that orientation.
Did I mention how much I LOVE their salad? Doesn’t matter, pretty much, what you order, you get unlimited salad and bread with that main dish, and I take advantage of it. The greens are crunchy, onions flavorful, tomato very tasty, croutons crunchy and yummy, and the pepper (those I pass on as I’m not a fan) are, I’m told, sweet and zingy. But it’s the salad dressing that ties it all together. A little tart, tangy, vinegary and delicious. Here’s what I’m talking about:
OK, if you are a true pasta fan, like yours al dente, with unique and aggressive sauces, no, their pasta and sauce likely will not satisfy your taste.
If, however, and that’s a whole lot of families, you want a large Italian type meal, well prepared, well delivered, then the Olive Garden is for you, whether it’s the Sebring location or elsewhere. And it sure is for us. We’ve taken advantage of this local Sebring restaurant when a passel of guests arrive from the frozen north a number of times and always to good reviews.
It’s decent grub at a good price, and their specials are hard to beat.
