The Sebring Diner in Sebring Florida gives you a glimpse of the way diners were ‘in the old days’.
The exterior is an updated, visual extravaganza. Something you might see on the backstreet in an urban setting, rather than on the east side of Highway 27 a couple of miles south of Sebring, FL.
Is it always busy because it’s wonderful, or because of how it looks? We pose the question as the first time we visited we went for lunch, had to line up for about 40 minutes to get a seat (it’s quite a large restaurant and there are lots of tables), the service was pleasant, but slow. Our food took forever to arrive. Sadly, the food that was supposed to be hot was not, and those items that were supposed to be cold were tepid in temperature.
That visit, none of us were particularly happy with the temperature of our dishes. We weren’t sure we would ever go back.
But for us, it’s the chocolate malts that lure us back to the Sebring Diner time and again.
Rather than risk an extended wait for a table, we order malts to go, now. They are huge, delicious, and almost a meal by themselves. We are told their milkshakes are excellent as well.
Maybe next time we’ll try Sebring Diner milkshakes instead.
You want to take a chance on the service and the meals at the Sebring Diner? It’s your call and your choice.
A classic spot with a 1950s feel supplies American comfort grub & shakes for breakfast & lunch.
